Having designed iconic road cars such as the Ford Escort RS Cosworth, BMW X5, Mini Cooper, Fiat 500, Frank has also led the industry in the design of supercars. Having designed the Ferrari F430, Maserati MC12, Ferrari FXX, and of course the McLaren P1. Frank’s career included working for major OEMS across Europe and notable appointments include being the first ever Design Director for Ferrari and Maserati in Maranello, Italy prior to being headhunted to become Design Director at McLaren’s newly formed roadcar division in 2010.
Since establishing frankstephenson Design, a leading mobility design studio, Frank has been the lead design authority for projects ranging from near-space tourism, electric powered aviation (eVTOLs) to the world’s safest baby seat and AI supercomputers.
